After being abruptly transported to a foreign realm, Mahiru Fukuyose, a former office lady, is forced to work as a cafeteria attendant to make ends meet and acquire valuable intel. Her glimmer of hope brightens up when she catches wind of a rumor about the brilliant Magician Randy, conjecturing that he might hold the key to her safe return home.
